Rangers handed injury boost with 30-year-old back in training

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard looks to have been handed an important injury boost ahead of Sunday’s big clash with fierce rivals Celtic in the league as midfielder Scott Arfield makes a recovery from his recent injury.

The club’s official Twitter account shared RangersTV footage of the first team squad’s training session on Tuesday and there was an encouraging update for fans of the club.

The condition of Scott Arfield had been worry for Gerrard all week, heading into the meeting with Celtic, but the midfielder appears to be fit again ahead of Sunday.

Arfield was not able to play in his side’s last fixture which came against Kilmarnock and he went on to pull out of international duty with his country Canada due to a calf problem.
But in the training footage released by the club on Tuesday, the 30-year-old can be seen back in training as he heads onto the pitch along with Matt Polster.
