Midfielder has ‘suspicion’ that Liverpool could sign this Tottenham star

English midfielder Jamie O’Hara insists there is a possibility of Tottenham losing their key attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen to Liverpool this summer.

O’Hara, who spent four years at White Hart Lane, is now seeing out the final years of his career with Billericay Town in the National League South.

The Ex-Spurs star remains concerned about the situation at his former club which has witnessed key star Eriksen fail to commit himself to a new contract.

The Denmark international played the full 90 minutes as Tottenham were beaten by Liverpool in the final of the Champions League, nearly three weeks ago.

Eriksen’s quality as a playmaker makes him an attractive option in midfield for most of the top clubs in the Premier League and his reluctance guarantee a stay in north London has fueled that uncertainty over his future.

Therefore, Jamie O’Hara has speculated that he has a ‘suspicion’ of Liverpool possibly making an approach to sign the 27-year-old from their Premier League foes this summer.

“(Liverpool) need a central midfielder player. I’ve got a sneaky suspicion that they might try and take Eriksen from Tottenham as he’s in the last year on his deal,” O’Hara said, as quoted by HITC

“He’s the type of player they need.”
