Man United reach agreement to sell defender in £1.28m deal

Manchester United are reported by BBC to have reached an agreement with Inter Milan over the sale of veteran defender Ashley Young in the January transfer window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer witnessed his men fight hard on Wednesday as they managed to see off a very threatening Wolves side 1-0 in the replay of the FA Cup third-round tie.

Ashley Young was not handed a place in the starting line-up for the win at Old Trafford and it has now become clearer to fans as to why the defender has remained scarcely available for the team in recent games.

BBC‘s claim is suggesting that the club has agreed a transfer fee of £1.28m (1.5m euros) to sell the 34-year-old to Inter Milan, who are contending very well to win the Serie A title this season.

Young, a player brought to Old Trafford by previous Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson, is now expected to wrap up his departure, bringing an end to almost a decade as a Manchester United player.
