Liverpool to be blocked in move to sign 23-year-old star

Liverpool’s pursuit of Adrien Rabiot is now expected to be ended after a twist in the midfielder’s contract situation with Paris Saint-Germain.

The 23-year-old’s current contract is set to run out in June 2019 which means he would be free to negotiate a free transfer to a new club of his choice starting in January.

Liverpool, along with several major European clubs like Barcelona and Manchester City, are claimed to have expressed their interest in Rabiot’s services for a cheap price due to his contract situation.

But to the dismay of the Reds, French source Canal + France is reporting that the PSG star is edging closer to signing a new deal at the club.

Jurgen Klopp has been rewarded for his summer business so far this season with his side sitting joint-top with leaders Manchester City in the Premier League table after a hard-fought 1-0 win away at Huddersfield on Saturday evening.
