West Ham have been given a better update over the fitness of key forward Javier Hernandez.
The Hammers were in action at home on Sunday afternoon as they held Chelsea to a 0-0 draw, the first time any side has stopped the Blues from winning in the Premier League this season.
Not involved in the affair with Chelsea was Javier Hernandez, who has been on the sidelines in recent weeks.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker had been struck down with illness a couple of weeks ago.
But a new update from Claret & Hugh (who are respected for delivering exclusive news on the Hammers) has revealed the Mexican star is finally on his way back to action.
Hernandez is set for a return to training this week after recovering from his illness.
”It’s an unpleasant problem and you can’t rush recovery. It doesn’t cause great damage but it’s energy draining. As from this week, though, he will be starting his get fit programme.” A source added in the update
Hernandez will be hoping to be available for the match against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium in early October before the international break.
