Football.London’s Tottenham Hotspur correspondent Alasdair Gold has revealed the truth behind rumours suggesting that Spurs are looking to sign Dani Olmo before the start of next season.
The fact that Christian Eriksen’s future is still unresolved with the Denmark international yet to renew his contract, means it might be in the club’s best interest to keep an eye on other targets to play in that attacking midfield role next term.
Tanguy Ndombele’s arrival certainly improves the Spurs squad, but there have been reports about a possible deal to sign another midfielder in Dani Olmo.
A report by Spanish source Muchodeporte has suggested that Tottenham are keen on signing the 21-year-old before the transfer window closes this summer.
But journalist Alasdair Gold has revealed that rumours regarding Olmo are actually fabricated if anything.
According to Gold, there is “nothing in that link”, indicating that Tottenham are not pursuing the midfielder like how some media outlets have claimed.
Lots of people asking about Dani Olmo. Rather than going through replying to every one of them, as far as I'm aware there's nothing in that link.
