Former footballer Gary Lineker had an amusing reaction to Tottenham Hotspur’s victory over Huddersfield town in the Premier League on Saturday as they kept their hold of third sport in the table.
After opening their new stadium last Wednesday evening with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, Spurs are back in great form following their recent stumble which saw them lose consecutive games away from home.
A brilliant hat-trick from Lucas Moura, a player seeing out his first season with the north London side, saw Tottenham thrash Huddersfield Town who have been already relegated from the top flight of English football for several weeks now.
Not many games are left in the league campaign and Saturday’s thrilling win means Spurs are even closer to securing a final spot in the top four of the Premier League table.
The triumph over Huddersfield Town also meant Spurs have opened their new stadium with three straight wins and Gary Lineker made note of that in a funny way.
Spurs continue to be the only club in Premier League history to have won every game they’ve played at their home ground, whatsmore without ever conceding a goal.
