‘Already agreed terms’: Pundit claims key Spurs star has agreed to seal exit

It is looking even more likely that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will have to relinquish a star player or two this summer while he gathers his options for another shot at the Premier League title next season.

Even with the club’s new stadium now opened, it is still unclear whether Spurs have the financial capacity to keep all of their star players happy before the beginning of next term.

Christian Eriksen recently admitted that a departure from north London is possible (BBC Sport) and that has added to the worry of Tottenham fans who fear the midfielder could be leaving soon.

With speculation about a potential move to Real Madrid still going on, pundit Danny Mills has shared his stance on the situation and claimed that Eriksen looks odds-on to leave.

The ex-footballer has claimed that Spurs’ chief playmaker has already agreed terms to move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

“He’s already agreed terms with Real Madrid, that’s how it appears to me,” Mills told Football Insider.

“Players only tend to go public with their intention to leave when there is an offer or two on the table.

“Christian Eriksen will know who is knocking on the door, and he will certainly know who are the clubs that are interested. He has specifically named Real Madrid, which suggests he has an agreement with the club, but a fee needs to be agreed.

“That will not be easy, as Daniel Levy will want top dollar for a player who has had a successful season and whose stock is incredibly high at the moment.”
