Spurs and Chelsea quoted £25m price for Maddison

Tottenham or Chelsea will have to pay £25 million if they are to sign Norwich City midfielder James Maddison, the Mirror reports.

It says the London rivals “lead the chase” for Maddison as the Canaries gear up for “a summer auction,” with Everton and Manchester City also interested in him.

But any club wanting to sign the England under-21 international will need to meet a valuation that reflects his status as one of the brightest prospects outside the top division.

The Mirror reports that Norwich “are determined to get a big price for the goal-scoring midfielder and believe that is fair, bearing in mind some recent transfers.”

Former Coventry City player Maddison, 21, has scored 14 goals and created 10 more this season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are also believed to be in pursuit of Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon and if rumours are true, they may have to pay even more to get the highly-rated left back this summer.
